Force of Will

Force of Will

Of course we have to start with Force of Will. Originally printed in the Ice Age block (set in Dominaria), FoW definitely belongs in a Dominaria Remastered set. It’s getting three different versions, regular, old-frame, and borderless.

I really like the art by Donato Giancola on the regular and old-frame versions. All the different shades of blue, and the ripples in the force field are amazingly done. This is definitely one of my favorite pieces of Force of Will art.

With the card being printed at Mythic Rare, and the set having a limited print run, I wouldn’t expect this printing to affect the overall card price too much.

Time Stretch

First printed in Odyssey, Time Stretch has only since been reprinted once, all the way back in Tenth Edition. I’ve got to say, the new art by Dominik Mayer is incredible. I can’t pinpoint exactly why, but something about it really just scratches my brain the right way.

Birds of Paradise

Next up is Birds of Paradise. The new and old frame cards will have the classic Mark Poole artwork that we all know and love. The borderless version, on the other hand, has brand new art by Darrell Riche, beautiful in its own right.

Arboria

Arboria is seeing its first-ever reprint in Dominaria Remastered! This is exciting news for any players looking to get their hands on the card since this new version should be significantly cheaper than the Legends version. Arboria is also getting brand-new art by Uria Voth and Dave Kendall, the latter of which is absolutely stunning.

Jester’s Cap

Jester’s Cap is getting its first reprint since Ninth Edition. It’s also getting brand-new art. The art by Jesper Ejsing is pretty sweet, if I do say so myself. The color and the detail on the cap are really striking.

Sneak Attack

Another exciting reprint we’re getting is Sneak Attack. This is the first card I’ve mentioned so far that won’t be getting the Borderless treatment. There’s also no new art for Sneak Attack, although the old art seems to have been remastered and looks better than ever.

Swords to Plowshares

Like Sneak Attack, Swords to Plowshares seems to be getting skipped over for the borderless treatment. It will, however, be available both in the old frame and the new frame. This classic removal spell is no doubt going to be a powerhouse in Dominaria Remastered Limited.

Tatyova, Benthic Druid

So far, it looks like this ultra-popular commander will only be reprinted in old frame. Whether or not it’s going to get a new-frame version, we’re not yet sure.

Counterspell

Counterspell

Last, but not least, we have Counterspell. Counterspell won’t actually be included in the set, but instead will be featured as a Promo. I’ve got to say, having this classic Mark Poole art in old-frame foil is going to be amazing.

End Step

I personally can’t wait until we get the next batch of spoilers for Dominaria Remastered. The plane of Dominaria has given us so many amazing cards over the years. And I can’t wait to play with them all once the set finally releases. Until then, be sure to check back for all the newest news and spoilers.

I started playing Magic in 2015 after impulsively buying a fat-pack of Khans of Tarkir. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with the game, and it's been a big part of my life ever since. Nowadays, I play moslty Modern, Commander, and Limited, but also enjoy keeping up with Standard. Whatever the format, I always find a way to brew up janky decks, convince myself they're great, get proven wrong, and love every second of it.
