Dominaria United – Showcase Stained-Glass Basic Lands

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; The lands that come out with each new set are a big part of the hype. After all, lands are an intrinsic part of the game and are arguably the most important card type. No matter the level, the format, the deck, or the play style your deck needs lands, and basics are no exception. So, it’s easy to see why the lands from each new set generate such buzz. So, let’s look at what Dominaria United lands players can expect to see come September.

Dominaria will contain five brand new, full-art, showcase “stained-glass” style basic lands. So far there appears to be one of each land type. So, one plains, Island, Swamp, Mountian, and Forest. There will be other land cycles for the set as well. However, we don’t know what they’ll be yet.

Players understandably love full-art basic lands. They look amazing in foil, they can be a great way to personalize your deck, and let’s face it, most decks need at least a few basic lands. That said, the showcase basics coming in this set are just as epic as the legendary plane itself. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at them.

So, not only will the Full-Art basics be available in a few different packs but they won’t be the only cards getting the stained-glass showcase treatment. Once the other land cycles for the set are spoiled, you can bet they’ll have a version with these alternate looks as well.

End Step

Dominaria United is one most epic adventures to date. Considering that the set commemorates Magic: The Gathering’s 30th anniversary I would expect nothing less. These basics are going to have quite a lot of decks looking legendary after release.

I started playing Magic in 2015. I love all formats but I particularly love to play and build decks in modern. Pretty much every part of my life has been influenced by Magic in some way or another. It is something I am very passionate about. RIP Simian Spirit Guide.
